There are lots of fall festivities around Bolingbrook.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Fall is a great time to get outside in Illinois and take in the rich offering of festivals.
The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Here are a few festivals and events in Bolingbrook worth putting on the calendar:
- Halloween Walk, Oct. 14-31 behind Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Drive.Visitors can enjoy decorations along the path and displays from local businesses, organizations and groups.
- Camp Fire Illinois, GIRL Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will County are hosting Oh My Gourd, I Love Fall...Into Nature on Oct. 22 at 455 Trout Farm Road in Bolingbrook. The event will have games, arts and crafts, hiking, costumes, food and a bonfire.
- Celebrate Halloween at the Promenade in Bolingbrook with a Halloween tree-lighting, candy and a costume parade on Oct. 22. The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Promenade, 631 E. Boughton Road.
