There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Fall is a great time to get outside in Illinois and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits.

Here are a few festivals and events in Bolingbrook worth putting on the calendar:

• Halloween Walk, Oct. 14-31 behind Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Drive.Visitors can enjoy decorations along the path and displays from local businesses, organizations and groups.
• Camp Fire Illinois, GIRL Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will County are hosting Oh My Gourd, I Love Fall...Into Nature on Oct. 22 at 455 Trout Farm Road in Bolingbrook. The event will have games, arts and crafts, hiking, costumes, food and a bonfire.
• Celebrate Halloween at the Promenade in Bolingbrook with a Halloween tree-lighting, candy and a costume parade on Oct. 22. The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Promenade, 631 E. Boughton Road.
