Threatening Email Sent To Valley View Staff Under Investigation: BPD
The email contained "threatening language directed toward teachers and students" but was not specific to Valley View schools, police said.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Several staff members at Valley View School District 365U received threatening emails on Saturday, prompting a police investigation, officials said.
The email from an unknown sender contained "threatening language directed toward teachers and students," but the message was not specific to Valley View schools, staff or students, police said in an alert Saturday afternoon.
As a result of the email, Bolingbrook police will conduct high-visibility patrols at area schools throughout the week. Detectives are working with local, state and federal law enforcement partners to investigate the origins of the email, which was sent to several schools in another state.
