Two Bolingbrook Police Officers Celebrate Retirement
Captain Anthony Columbus and Sergeant Christopher Georgeff, retired Friday from the police department.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Two members of the Bolingbrook Police Department, Captain Anthony Columbus and Sergeant Christopher Georgeff, retired on Friday, according to a news release from the department.
Columbus started at the department in 1998, and served a total of 30 years as a police officer, the department said. He has held many positions in Bolingbrook, starting as a patrolman, and working up to a detective, sergeant, lieutenant, and finally, captain.
Georgeff started with the department in 2001, and has also served as a police officer for 30 years. He started in Bolingbrook, as a patrolman, and then was promoted to detective, the department said. After several years in the investigations division, he was promoted to sergeant.

"With the combined 60 years in law enforcement, their knowledge and experience will be missed at the department," the department said in a news release. "On behalf of Chief Mike Rompa, congratulations to Captain Columbus and Sergeant Georgeff. We wish them well, as they move into the next chapter of their lives."
