Valley View Board Approves Two Changes To 2023-24 Calendar
The first day back for students from winter break next year will now be Jan. 8, 2024.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Valley View Board of Education recently approved two updates to its district calendar for the 2023-2024 school year.
The teacher workday planned for Jan. 8, 2024, has been removed, and it will now be the day that students and staff return for full classes after winter break, the District said.
March 19, 2024, has been changed to a "no student attendance" day. It is no longer classified as an e-learning day. March 19 is an Election Day.

The addition of Jan. 8, 2024 as an in-person student attendance day makes an e-learning day on Election Day no longer necessary, according to the District.
The full calendar can be found on the district website. The first day of school for students is Aug. 17.
