Valley View Offers October Parent Events
Events include discussion of the college application process, and digital responsibility for tweens.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Valley View School will offer several Family and Community Connections parent events in October. The first event, "Valedictorians at the Gate: Standing Out, Getting In, and Staying Sane While Applying To College," will be held online on Oct. 6.
According to the district, the webinar with Becky Munsterer Sabky will offer advice for students and parents on the application process, and finding the school that is an ideal match.
Then, on Oct. 25, a webinar, "First Phone: A Pre-Tween’s Guide to Digital Responsibility, Safety and Etiquette with Dr. Catherine Pearlman," will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.

The event will offer insights and strategies for parents and their elementary school-age children to assist with digital safety in a manner that is playful, engaging, and age appropriate, the district said in a release.
