Valley View Teens Honored at 'Breakfast of Champions'

Students were recognized for showing effective learner characteristics.

Romeoville High School recognized nearly 50 students for displaying effective learner characteristics at the Breakfast of Champions Thursday morning.

Honored at the breakfast for being collaborative were: Alexander Alabi, Isabelle Edrada, Kyle Eichorst, Monserrat Gutierrez, Cristian Najar, Julian Ortiz, Alexa Prado, Wendy Rosales, and Jacqueline Smith.

Recognized for their growth mindset were: Gerald Ashfield, Dawson Espinosa, Robert Johnson, and Iesha Yillah.

Nominated for their willingness to take risks to learn: Dekari Barber, David Chmura, Daniel Gal, Larry Garcia, Capri Stewart, Ryan Ziebarth, and Victoria Zuchara.

Chosen for their perseverance: Juliano Cain, Deontai Gipson, Kevin Gonzalez,
Jacqueline Olivas, Martin Luis Rayos Del Sol, and Ethan Spaniak.

Recognized for being engaged and focusing on learning: Peyton Camden, Darius Campbell, Garrett Guillen, Exon Gutierrez, Dylan Jaudzems, Keryn Kalal, Jordan Nettle, Laundon Porter, Asia Styles, Larry Velazquez, Marite Villalobos-Cisneros and Elizabeth Zahorick.

Nominated for being reflective: Amanda Estep, Anthony Perez and Jessica Thomas.

Chosen for being resourceful: Fatima Guardiola.
