Verizon Wireless Customer Lands In Jail
The Bolingbrook Police apprehended Carlos Johnson on Wednesday afternoon.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - It is not a crime to be a customer at the Verizon Wireless store on North Bolingbrook Drive, but Carlos Johnson's behavior inside the store led Verizon employees to suspect he was up to no good, according to authorities. Now, Johnson, 42, is in the Will County Jail where he faces five counts of felony forgery.
The Bolingbrook Police Department's reports show that Johnson, who lives 300 block of Pinto in Bolingbrook, visited the Verizon Wireless on Wednesday afternoon.
Bolingbrook Police say they were summoned to the store "due to suspicious behavior of several subjects in the business." Once the cops arrived, Bolingbrook's officers found Johnson and the others sitting in a car in the parking lot. Johnson was behind the wheel.

"As officers approached the driver, he attempted to conceal items in the car," police stated. "Johnson had an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. Officers located fraudulent business checks inside the vehicle. The checks were from different businesses but all had the same account number listed."
Johnson went for a ride to the downtown county jail in Joliet where he smiled for his mugshot when it was taken around 11:20 p.m. July 25.
