Village of Bolingbrook to Host International Festival Bolingbrook

iFest Bolingbrook: International Festival of Cultures is a one-day event celebrating our residents and cultures from all over the world.

The Village of Bolingbrook will be hosting International Festival Bolingbrook: iFest 2022 on Saturday, July 16 from 11:00 am-9:00 pm. The event is free to the public, including free parking. It will feature ethnic foods, handmade goods and merchandise, children’s activities, cultural entertainment, and educational booths. The nations and regions of Panama, Baltic/Lithuania, Bahamas, China, Eastern Europe, Egypt, Ghana, Hawaii (US), India, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, and the United States will be represented during the festival. “Bolingbrook is rated as the third most diverse suburb of Chicago. This is event is a great opportunity to celebrate the cultures that make our community so wonderful,” said Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta.

International Festival Bolingbrook: iFest 2022 will take place at the Village of Bolingbrook Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road in Bolingbrook. Featured entertainment will include Ukrainian Folk Music provided by the Maxwell Street Klezmer Quintet. Other entertainment includes the Moku’aina Hula Hawaiian Performers and Phaedra Darwish Belly dance. A full entertainment schedule and participating vendor listing is forthcoming which will include the addition of performances including Egyptian Belly Dance, Egyptian Violin, Breakdancing, Mexican Folk Dancing, and West African Music, among others.
