Village Launches New Text Alert System, Encourages Subscribing

Yesterday the Village of Bolingbrook's IT Department sent out it's very first SMS\Text message alert regarding the storm. Although many residents received the alert in minutes, some messages were delayed by the new system.

All of the feedback was appreciated as it gives us a chance to make sure that we are using the appropriate methods of communication when it comes to getting information out to the residents. We were able to send out alerts using various communication tools such as email, mobile app, twitter, website and SMS\Text messaging.
