Bolingbrook's New WeatherTech Headquarters Should Open In 2019

WeatherTech has been one of Bolingbrook's greatest success stories.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - One of Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar's most tremendous economic development success stories remains the WeatherTech's company. It continues to expansion around Bolingbrook. Now, village officials and working with WeatherTech to get the company to construct its new headquarters in Bolingbrook. The company did locate its headquarters in Bolingbrook about a decade ago, but now has its sights set on building a new facility.

The Times Weekly reported that WeatherTech plans to build the new headquarters on a 12.5 acre parcel in the 400 block of Remington Boulevard. If approved, the construction project could include a campus consisting of four office buildings and space for a helipad, the paper reported.

The Times Weekly noted that the village's plan commission was strongly supportive of the venture. The newspaper noted that WeatherTech currently occupies 14 buildings around Bolingbrook.

Mayor Roger Claar told Patch on Tuesday afternoon that WeatherTech has been a great asset for the village over the past several years. He praised them for having 14 buildings and roughly 1,500 or more employees.

"They're a great company, made in America," he said.

Claar said it's his understanding the new headquarters for WeatherTech would be completed sometime in 2019.
