WeatherTech's CEO May Stop Donating To GOP: Report

David MacNeil, who employs more than 1,100 people through Bolingbrook-based WeatherTech, spoke with POLITICO this week.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A story published on Thursday in POLITICO is reporting that David MacNeil, CEO of Bolingbrook's WeatherTech company, may stop donating to GOP candidates. The news article reminds readers that MacNeil was a huge financial backer of President Donald Trump and that MacNeil's current frustration involves the issue of immigration, mainly the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

"I'm saying this as a political donor who's donated seven figures in the last couple of years: I will not donate any more money to anyone who doesn't support DACA, period," MacNeil told POLITICO, according to the article. "I'm putting my money where my mouth is."
