BOLINGBROOK, IL — Grocery stores, restaurants and places for activities were high on the list last week when Bolingbrook Patch reached out to Facebook fans with a simple question: "What business would you like to see come to our town?" The question got more than 100 responses.
Residents called for new places to buy groceries, like Mariano's and Trader Joe's, as well as a Cooper's Hawk restaurant, Sonic and more ethnic dining options like Thai and Indian restaurants.
Popular suggestions also included places to get out and do something — like playgrounds, a live music venue, a skating rink, bowling alley or a racetrack, of which one resident commented, "guaranteed it'll rake in money for the town." Others called for stores like Old Navy or Build-A-Bear Workshop.

One resident wished for the return of Krispy Kreme, which still hasn't reopened in Bolingbrook but came back to the Chicago area last winter. Another suggestion? "A Gentlemans club/strip club."
