What's Happening in April at the Fountaindale Public Library?

Events for kids and adults are offered throughout the month.

BOLINGBROOK, IL —Fountaindale Public Library District is showering visitors with a variety of programs and events for adults, teens and children. This month, you can pay off old library fines and win prizes during National Library Week, learn to cook simple spring meals, expand your photography skills, get your senior portraits taken, learn the process to buy a home during Money Smart Week and much more.

A list of April library events and details is below. All programs are free of charge and require registration unless otherwise stated. Introduction to Theater Arts Workshop
Monday, June 6–Friday, June 17; Application due Friday, April 15
Calling all theater enthusiasts in grades 6–12! Learn the art and fundamentals of stage performance and theater production with Theatre-on-the-Hill, The Bolingbrook Arts Council and Fountaindale Library’s Introduction to Theater Arts Workshop. Money Smart Week

Teen & Tween Summer Adventure Promotional Trailer Contest (Grades 4–12)
Now–Friday, April 15
Budding movie directors, create a video to promote our 2016 Summer Adventure using the theme "Let the Games Begin." One winning video will be chosen per age group (grades 4–6, grades 7–9 and grades 10–12) to promote Summer Adventure on the library’s website, social media channels and more. National Poetry Month
Friday, April 1–Saturday, April 30
Learn about various types of poetry and write your own each week. Instructions and examples will be posted in the Vortex every Friday. Poems will be due the following Thursday. Each week a winner will be selected to receive a journal and pen set.
