What's Happening in February at the Bolingbrook Library?

From preschool resources to an Oscar viewing party, there's something for everyone at the library.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Fountaindale Public Library District is leaping into February with non-stop fun for adults, teens and children. With everything from preschool resources for parents to a fashion show, to cooking demonstrations and an Oscars viewing party, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Fountaindale Public Library.


A list of February library events and details is below. All programs are free of charge and require registration unless otherwise stated. Yoga

Teen Blind Date with a Book
Monday, Feb. 1–Monday, Feb. 29
Check out one of the books in our Blind Date with a Book display located in the Vortex. They will be wrapped up in brown paper so you won’t know the title until checkout. Inside each book will be a “Rate Your Blind Date” form. Fill this out and return to the Vortex by 8:30 p.m. on February 29 to be entered into a gift card drawing. Drop in; no registration necessary.

Spa Day
Wednesday, Feb. 3, 6:30 p.m.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, make fizzy bath bombs and fun-sized soaps to gift or keep.

Lolita Fashion Show & Tea Party
Saturday, Feb. 6, 2:00 p.m.
Have a spot of team and some sweet treats while entering the exciting and adorable world of Lolita Fashion! Light refreshments will be served. At the end of the fashion show, enjoy a prize drawing provided by Dream Princess.

Needlecraft & a Movie

Preschool Round-Up

Parents, if you have a toddler that is ready for preschool, this is your chance to meet and talk to representatives from more than a dozen local preschools and daycare centers all in one place. The Will County Health Department will be on hand providing free vision and hearing screenings, and several early childhood resource organizations will also be available. Don’t miss our prize drawings for parents and kids.

The Fountaindale Public Library Bookmobile makes scheduled community stops throughout the month for patrons to check out books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, NOOKs, Playaways and much more. Visit fountaindale.org/outreach/bookmobile for a list of stops.
