Woman Sues Walmart For 'Dangerous Conditions'

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Deborah Grover has retained the personal injury law firm of Schweickert & Ganassin to sue the nation's largest retail chain after she got hurt visiting the Walmart store in Bolingbrook, her lawsuit states. Grover visited the Walmart on Dec. 30, 2017. As a result of that visit, Grover was "severely and permanently injured," her lawsuit alleges.

Her lawsuit was recently filed at the Will County Courthouse.

"At said time and place, as the plaintiff was attempting to navigate the aisle, she encountered a slippery area caused by spilled spray, causing her to fall and suffer injury," Grover's lawyers contend.

So why is Walmart is being sued for negligence?

Schweickert & Ganassin argue that Walmart "failed to provide a good, safe and proper place for the plaintiff to be, use, occupy and walk upon the premises."

The lawsuit also states that Grover has been required "to incur medical expenses, disability, pain and suffering, loss of normal life and wage loss on an ongoing and permanent basis since the accident."

Schweikert & Ganasssin, the firm representing Grover, has law offices in Morris, Ottawa. Peru and Chicago, according to its website.
