2-Year-Old Dies In Chicago Shooting, Teen Injured
The Saturday night shooting left a 2-year-old boy dead and an 18-year-old injured.

CHICAGO, IL — A 2-year-old boy was killed and an 18-year-old man was injured in a shooting late Saturday in Chicago's Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side. Police said the victims were standing near an alley in the 2200 block of North Kilbourn "during a physical altercation between two females" at around 10:17 p.m. when someone began shooting from the end of the street.
The 2-year-old was hit in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital, according to police, while the 18-year-old was shot in the left leg. The toddler, identified as Julien Gonzalez according to ABC Chicago, was pronounced dead at Stroger. The teenager was taken Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where police said he was in stable condition.
The little boy's death is the neighborhood's first homicide of 2018, according to ABC.

No one is in custody in connection with the shooting, police said. Area North detectives are investigating.
