ACA Healthcare Enrollment Deadline is January 31
PSMEMC Hosts Enroll-a-thon for Final Weekend
Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center (PSMEMC) kicked off a three-day health insurance enroll-a-thon and mini health fair Friday, Jan. 29, to assist residents who need to enroll or change healthcare plans as required by the Affordable Care Act.
The event is being held at the Presence Saint Mary Hospital Campus, 3rd floor SME Room, 2233 W. Division St., Chicago.
The enroll-a-thon’s hours are:
Friday, Jan. 29, noon to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 30, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 31, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The enrollment deadline is Sunday, Jan. 31. The fine for not having insurance in 2016 is $695 or 2.5 percent of your income, whichever is greater. Residents who don’t have insurance may have to pay a penalty when they file their taxes.
“Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center is a proud supporter of Get Covered Illinois,” said Stonish Pierce, regional chief ambulatory and ancillary officer at PSMEMC. “Our efforts in the past have resulted in more than 12,000 members of our community obtaining affordable health care insurance.”
