Americano 2211 Opens on North Avenue

Newest Wicker Park eatery will offer breakfast and lunch.

CHICAGO, IL - The latest addition to the Wicker Park dining scene is Americano 2211, which opened recently at 2211 W. North Ave.

It’s the creation of the combined genius of Nancy Silver of Blackbird and Charlie Trotter’s and Chris Pappas of The Winchester and Sepia, according to the Chicago Eater.

Silver, a pastry chef, and Pappas, a wine expert, will serve breakfast and lunch at the spot with a walk-up counter.

"The name is a play on a European café, but ironically called Americano,” said Pappas. "Americano 2211 is reflective of true European café culture. Almost anywhere you go overseas there's a café where people gather from morning until late at night."

The cafe’ will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with plans to expand to evening hours soon.
