Bayless Readies New Wicker Park XOCO

Construction has begun on the Wicker Park outpost of Rick Bayless' popular XOCO restaurant in the old Salud space at 1471 N. Milwaukee, according to Chicago Eater. The goal is to open by early March.

Bayless told the website that the restaurant's menu will closely resemble the River North XOCO, but it will be larger and have table service and a bar area. There will also be a 24-seat patio, the Chicago Eater article says.

XOCO's cuisine is inspired by Mexican street food. The River North location is at 449 N. Clark St.
