
CHICAGO, IL -- Burglars broke into two adjacent stores in the Wicker Park neighborhood Tuesday morning and stole several thousand dollars worth of merchandise, according to store managers. The burglaries happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the 1500-block of North Milwaukee Avenue. Police said several suspects drove up in three vehicles and smashed the windows of two clothing stores on the block.
Both targeted stores--Chrome Industries and Saint Alfred--sell high-end clothing and footwear.

Last week, a group of thieves smashed through the front of a store in the 1500 block of North Cicero Avenue and took thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, according to police. Detectives continue to investigate the burglaries and whether they are connected.
