Canadian Folk Group's Truck And Gear Stolen In Wicker Park

Kacy and Clayton didn't receive a very warm welcome in Chicago when almost everything of theirs was stolen.

CHICAGO, IL -- The Canadian folk music group Kacy & Clayton is seeking the public's help finding their pickup truck after it was stolen over the weekend. The group said the vehicle contained all their equipment and gear. Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthicum are cousins from rural Saskatchewan, and are touring the United States and Canada.

The two said the truck was parked in the 1900 block of West Schiller on Saturday, when it went missing around 8 p.m. (For more local news, subscribe to free email news alerts and a daily newsletter for your hometown Patch.)

In a Facebook post, the group described the truck as a White 2014 GMC High Country with a white box topper and the Saskatchewan License plate 530 GZA.

"It's unfortunate and frustrating that this has happened, but through the generosity of those around us, we're able to carry on with the tour plans," Linthicum said.

The group is borrowing equipment from the Chicago band Wilco for upcoming shows. The cousins were on their way from Utah to Ontario over the weekend and stopped by Chicago. They filed a police report but said they "weren't hopeful" that their truck and equipment would be returned.
