Off-Duty Cop Carjacked At Gunpoint In Bucktown
Police said suspects pointed a gun at an off-duty detective and stole his SUV.
CHICAGO, IL — An off-duty Chicago detective was carjacked Tuesday morning in the city's Bucktown neighborhood, police said. The carjacking happened in the 1900 block of North Wolcott around 11:30 a.m., police said. The off-duty cop wasn't injured.
Two men came up to the 43-year-old, and one suspect pointed a gun at him, police said. The suspects then stole his 2015 black Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Both suspects are described as black, wearing hoodies and overalls.

No one was in custody as of Wednesday evening and the investigation was ongoing.
