Everyone can help save the life of a rescue dog and in the process save the life of a local veteran

Meet Chicago based War Dogs Making it Home
My nephew Marcel Hasan's DePaul MBA class has chosen local nonprofit War Dogs Making it Home as the subject of its project management class group effort.War Dogs is an organization I met over a year ago and instantly fell in love. This organization rescues dogs from high kill animal shelters, trains them to become certified emotional support dogs, and pairs them with a local veteran who suffers from PTSD and/or traumatic brain injury. In otherwords, in one fall swoop, they are saving two lives. If you would like to learn more or contribute to the cause, feel free to stop by either (or both) of this weekend's appearances:
- Friday, July 19th (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) MBA students will host a "pop up" fundraising event in front of West Loop Veterinary Center @ 815 W. Randolph. Here the group will give away free dog treats, share information about this incredible nonprofit and its mission, and accept donations (of any denomination).
- Sunday, July 21st (12/noon to 3 p..m.) Members of the team will host their second appearance at Paw Naturals @ 932 W. Monroe. Here again they will giveaway free frisbies, dog treats, and share information about War Dogs. You may make donations too.
- Finally, the group has an online fundraising effort now underway. In less than 15 days they have raised nearly $2500. Their goal is $3000. If you would like to contribute and save the life of a dog and a veteran, visit the online site at: http://www.gofundme.com/wardogsmakingithome
