Season off to a fast start; Team hoping to build on recent successes on the diamond; Drop 1-one game to Fenwick; week ends @ 2-2.
HOLY TRINITY 10, LINCOLN PARK 2

The HT Tigers opened their 2016 season with a BIG 10-0 win @ Lincoln Park. Winning pitcher Jesus Fernandez struck out 8 in four innings of work and Luis Ruiz had 2 BIG hits for the TIGERS (1-0 overall).

Glenbrook North 8, Holy Trinity 5: (from 03.17.16 on the road in the north suburbs). HT lost 8-5 to Class 4A Glenbrook North. Jesus Fernandez had 2 hits and Christian Camarillo pitched well. The Tigers were down 8-0 early, thru the first four innings of play, but were on the rebound, scoring five times in the fifth before the game was called due to darkness (Glenbrook N. did NOT have lights).
Holy Trinity 5, Ag. Science 4: (from 03.18.16 on the road): The Tigers won their 2nd game of the season defeating Agriculture & Science 5-4 on two BIG HITS by sophomore Jesus Fernandez and winning pitcher Christian Trejo doing a fine job on the mound.

DROP 3-2 Decision @ Fenwick March 21: HT Traveled to Fenwick and played a top-ranked 3A power even through 8 innings of play before dropping the contest by a one-run margin. The Tigers had several key chances to best the Friars, but it wasn't to be on this day.
"We're playing some great competition and hanging in there real tough," stated veteran HT coach Joe Glorioso. We're young and this experience will only helps us down the line." he added.

March 23rd results: @ Riverside-Brookfield 16, HT 11.
Overall: 2 wins, 2 losses thru the RB game.

LOOKING BACK @ 2015: The varsity baseball team posted the first-ever 30-plus win season in school's history; captured the Chicago Prep Conference title; were regional champs; & advanced to the sectional finals for the first time ever! This under the direction of Coach Joe Glorisio and his staff and the dedicated Tiger players! We're looking for GREAT THINGS AGAIN in 2016!
