Holy Trinity HS Spring Sport roundup

Tiger Baseball @ 5-4 while Lady Tiger Soccer unblemished as teams play thru their spring break schedule.

Holy Trinity Athletics continues to play thru their spring schedule even with the one-week spring break at hand.

The Holy Trinity Girls Soccer Team defeated Clemente High School March 28 by a score of 4 to 0.

In the first half, freshman Emily Gallegos notched her third and fourth goals of the season. One goal was unassisted

and the other was assisted by sophomore Sakaya Garity.

The second half saw freshman Karina Saucedo score two goals, which were assisted by seniors Mireya Barajas and Monica Zavala.

The win brings the team's record to 3 wins and no losses. The Lady Tigers started the season with a 7-0 win

over Wells High School and then won a conference game against St. Benedict High School by a score of 1 to 0,

with the winning goal scored by Emily Gallegos off a pass from Monica Zavala.

The defense has been strong with goalie senior Esmeralda Flores recording three shut outs.

HT improves to 5-4 on the season (as of 03.29.16):
HT swept a double header from Melrose Park Walther Lutheran last Saturday, March 26 by scores of 5-0 and 9 to 1.

Monday March 28th the Tigers overwhelmed Steinmetz by a final of 14-0.

The three wins moves the Tigers overall record to 5-4 on the season.

NEXT: Tuesday March 29 at Morgan Park; March 30th versus Von Steuben @ Northeastern University;

Thursday versus Solorio and Saturday April 2nd a double header @ Nazareth.
