HT Basketball roundup for Jan.5th thru 7th:
Lady Tigers defeat St. Benedict 43-22 on the road; Boys fall to Northridge at home.
LADY TIGERS @ St. Benedict (1/7):
Holy Trinity captured their second win in three days, toppling host St. Benedict Saturday evening (Jan. 7th) by a final score of 32-22.
"It wasn't one of best efforts this season," commented head coach Tim Sheehan afterwards, "but it was nice to see the girls prevail nonetheless."
HT (11-5 overall, 3-0 Girls Catholic Athletic Blue) was led by Kurteshia Singleton with 14 points and Cece Gardner who added 11. St. Benedict featured Omandan who had nine for the Bengals.

LADY TIGERS @ HOME vs. St. Francis de Sales (1/5):
Last Thursday, the ladies faced St. Francis de Sales at home in a conference game and powered to a 42.17 victory over the Pioneers.
The victors were again led by Kurteshia Singleton (11 points) and teammates Kristina Vargas (10) and Fatima Olaitan (8 points, six rebounds).
St. Francis saw Taylor Johnson lead the scoring with eight.

Boys Drop 2 weekend contests:
The HT Boys varsity unfortunately were unbale to get untracked this weekend, falling on Friday to Chicago Prep rival Christ the King 69-33 and Saturday at home versus Northridge Prep 73-32 in a non-conference game.
Against Northridge, Christian Trejo had 13 points and Darius Johns 12.

Monday: the girls host Ida Crown in two games -- Jv/V -- at 6:30/8pm IN THE JUNGLE while the boys travle to DePaul Prep to face the Rams -- Soph/V -- 5:30/7pm.
Tuesday: the girls again are at home to play Josephinum -- Jv/V -- at 4:30/6pm and the boys again travel to River Grove to meet the Gators of Guerin -- Soph/V -- 5:30/7pm.
