HT gvb drops 3-game match to St. Joseph Westchester IN THE JUNGLE.
In Girls Catholic Athletic Conference Blue Division action, visiting St. Joseph Westchester (9-9 overall) prevailed in a
three-game match @ Holy Trinity by final scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-20.
The host Lady Tigers (11-3 overall and now 1-1 in the Blue) rebounded from the game one loss to win game two
25-22. However the Tigers were not able to duplicate their 2nd game magic in game three falling by five points to the Chargers.
HT featured Fatima Oliatan (eight kills) and Kurteshia Singleton (4 kills). Cristina Guzman had 15 set assists and Karol Gonzalez who
came off the bench to gain nine important service points in games 2 and 3 that also included 4 ace serves.
The Chargers were led by Genna Foster (four kills, five set assists) and Allie Grengs (seven set assists).
TEAM SERVING STATS: St. Joseph totaled 73 serve atts; made 64 for an 88% average with 15 service aces while
the Lady Tigers had 64 serve atts; made 51 for an 80% average with 10 service aces.
Jv results: St. Joseph def. HT by scores of 25-19, 25-15. HT featured Rachel Asante with 2 kills.
