Lady Tigers drop a 2-point opener to visiting Morgan Park Academy 49-47

Opening the 2018-19 campaign at home IN THE JUNGLE, the Holy Trinity Lady Tigers (0-1) dropped a two-point affair to the visiting Warriors of Morgan Park Academy Tuesday evening by a final of 49-47.
Leading the way for the Warriors were Amaya McLachlan with a game-high 34 points while teammate Samaria Harris pitched in seven.
HT featured 13 points from Rachel Asante who bagged three treys for her effort while teammates Jada White and Alyssa Hernandez both had 12 on the evening.
Holy Trinity led 7 to 4 at the end of one quarter but Morgan Park Ac. closed that gap to one at the half at 25-24 the Tigers.
Down the stretch Morgan Park Ac. then outsocred the hosts 25-22 to take the opening contest for both teams.
The Warriors shot 65% from the charity stripe with McLachlan going 16-for-24 from the line. HT only had 12 free throw attempts in the contest
making 6 on the night.
