Using a 24 to 8 burst to the end of the first half, HT held off visiting Perspectives 40-26 to post their first win on the new season Wednesday night at home.
Leading the way for Holy Trinity (1-1) were Star Brooks (9 points, five rebounds, 2 steals); and both Cece Gardner and Kristina Vargas who both pitched in six points on the night. Gardner added seven rebounds and six steals to the mix.
Three other Lady Tigers, Jada White, Rachel Asante and Alyssa Hernandez scored five each.
Asante was the leading rebounder for the home squad with nine. Also featured was Ashley Walton who scored her first varsity points of her career.
Perspectives was led by Tydrea Holland who had a game-high eighteen points including three treys from way outside the arc..
