HT Girls Volleyball roundup:

Wrapping up the last three matches played.

HT Gvb SENIOR NIGHT (Oct. 13th) IN THE JUNGLE!
In front of an enthusiastic and supportative throng of parents/guardian and fans, the Lady Tigers celebrated SENIOR NIGHT IN THE JUNGLE October 13.
Along with the festivities prior to the match (see pics provided), the varsity dispatched visiting Catalyst/Maria by scores of 25-7, 25-11 and in the process improved to 13-5 overall. Currently the varsity holds a 2-2 record in the Girls Catholic Athletic Blue division race.
Leading the charge for HT were Sakayah Garity (6 kills, one block and four service points); Kurteshia Singleton (four kills); Fernanda Anaya (13 service points, seven aces) and Cristina Guzman (eight service points, five aces and 14 set assists).

SERVING STATS: Holy Trinity: 46 atts. with 41 made and an 89% avg. with 18 aces; Catalyst/Maria: 22 atts. with 19 made and an 86% avg and three ace serves.

Jv results: HT def. Catalyst/Maria by scores of 25-19, 25-23. HT featured Starr Brooks (four kills on the night).

HT Travels to St. Benedict -- Oct. 17:
The Lady Tigers traveled to the home of the Bengals looking to improve on their GCAC 3rd place conference standing.
Unfortunately the Bengals prevailed by scores of 25-22, 25-18 to leave HT holding a 14-6 overall record and dropping the Lady Tigers to 2-3 in the GCAC Blue.

Lady Tigers tune-up for state with a non-conference win!
The Tigers traveled to neighborhood foe CICS Chicago Quest on Oct. 19 and defeated the hosts by scores of 25-7, 25-10. It allowed the team to finish the regular season with a 15-6 record and helped the team to prepare for an Oct. 25th state regional match-up versus Francis Parker.
This state match will be played at the River Grove Mother Guerin Prep next Tuesday and start at 6:30pm. With a win, the Lady Tigers would advance to the regional title game (Oct. 27).

Two Lady Tigers Named to the Girls Catholic Athletic Blue Division All-Conference Volleyball team:
Senior Cristina Guzman and junior hitter Sakayah Garity garnered recognition to the nine-person GCAC Blue Division All-Conference squad. They join Kayla Domio and Genna Foster of Westchester St. Joseph; Haley Doyle and Maddie Fogarty of Burbank Queen of Peace; Timberlynn Fisher of St. Francis de Sales; Rhea Omandam of St. Benedict and Jessica Thiel of Josephinum Academy.
The GCAC Blue Player of the Year was Maddie Fogarity of Peace.

HT Junior Varsity to Participate in the GCAC Conference Playoffs Oct. 22nd:
The younger Lady Tigers will wrap-up their season play in this Saturday's Jv conference playoffs versus St. Francis de Sales. This match will be played at DePaul College Prep and start at 8am. The winner of this match will then face Fenwick @ 9am. DePaul Prep is located at 3633 N. California Ave.
