The Lady Tigers moved to 12-1 with their win vs. Cristo Rey Waukegan in the opening match of HT Tiger Invite.
Scores were 25-13, 25-10 in favor of HT. HIGHLIGHTS: Sakayah Garity (6 kills, 2 blocks, and an ace serve); Cece Gardner (2 kills, two blocks, nine service points and four aces); Viviana Quezada (11 service points, six aces, five digs); Karol Gonzalez (12 set assists, 11 service points and five aces) and Rachel Asante (2 kills); TEAM SERVING: HT: 49 attempts with 41 made for an 84% average and 17 aces. MATCH TWO: HT versus Noble Golder:
MATCH 2 at the Lady Tiger Invite saw HT defeat Noble Golder by scores of 25-17, 25-10. HIGHLIGHTS: Fatima Olaitan (5 kills); Karol Gonzalez (10 set assists, seven service points with 5 aces and one dig); Cece Gardner (2 kills, ten service points and 7 aces); Viviana Quezada (six service points with 5 aces) and Starr Brooks (one kill). SERVING: HT 49 attempts with 39 made for an 80% average and six aces.
NOBLE GOLDER: 28 serve attempts with 19 made for a 68% average and one ace.

MATCH THREE (for the day) and the title! -- HT versus Little Village:
The Lady Tigers captured the 2017 title of their own Invite with a two-game sweep of the Phoenix. Scores were 25-23 and 25-8 in favor of the Lady Tigers. HT is now 14-1 overall and 5-0 in Chicago Prep league play.
