HT Gvb Opens Chicago Prep Conference Play with a Win

The Lady Tigers opened Chicago Prep conference play with a 2-game sweep at the hands of visiting Rochelle-Zell (1-4 overall and 0-1 in CPC) Thursday evening IN THE JUNGLE! Scores were 25-15, 25-6 for HT now 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.

HT saw Karol Gonzales (eight set assissts; 14 service points, five aces); Fatima Olaitan (3 kills) and Sakayah Garrity (3 kills) lead the way, while teammates Sui Len (4 digs, six service points), Breanna Cruz (2 blocks) and Rachel Asante (1 kill) were also featured.
HT SERVING: 48 attempts with 40 made for an 83% average with 13 ace serves.

NOTE: The HT Jv also defeated Rochelle-Zell and the scores were 25-15, 25-11 in their favor. HT JV featured Aleysa Hernandez (5 kills);
Tiffany Cerna (16 service points with 4 ace serves); and one kill each for Liz Gallegos and Ashley Walton.

The varsity squad will host Roycemore School tomorrow Friday at 5pm IN THE JUNGLE to close out this weeks action.

Boys Soccer and CPC league play results saw Rochelle-Zell defeat visiting Holy Trinity by a final score of 4-2 on Thursday evening in Deerfield.
