Playing shorthanded with two starters and a key reserve out with injury, the Holy Trinity Tigers beat
Josephinum 54-25. The Tigers were led by Jada White with 16 points, Kurtisha Singleton with 15
points, and CeCe Gardner with 11 points.
Josephinum had trouble with the pressure defense applied by the Tigers. White, Gardner and NiKyla Stanton created several turnovers with their aggressive defense. Rachel Asante was strong on the boards, while Tina Vargas and Star Brooks had solid performances as well.
Kurtisha Singleton, a senior captain and four year varsity player, had a particularly strong game. “Kurtisha did a lot of everything tonight. It was the most complete game she has played at HT,” said coach Tim Sheehan.
Holy Trinity improved to 5-2 for the season and will play at Francis Parker on Tuesday (Dec. 13th. @ 6pm).
This game will be preceded by the Jv contest at 4:30pm.
HT JV victorious over Josephinum for their first win on the campaign. Overall the young Tigers are 1-2.

CPC UPDATE: Northtown 67, Holy Trinity 46
The Tigers dropped their second Chicago Prep league contest on the season losing the the host Pumas of Northtown by a final of 67 to 46. The Tigers were led by senior Christian Trejo who had 21 points.
In the sophomore game that preceded the Pumas were again victorious, dropping the Tigers by a final score of 62-42.
NEXT UP: Monday, December 12th IN THE JUNGLE (this is a rescheduled date) when HT hosts Ida Crown in league action with the sophomore game starting at 6:30pm and the varsity follows at 8pm.
