HT Spring sports roundup for 03/19/18

BVB opens with a win; Gsoc defeat Our Lady of Tepeyac in CPC conference action; Gsb plays 2nd game on the season.

HT BVB: The Tigers opened their 2018 season with a 25-15, 25-13 win over visiting Ogden International. The Tigers featured Thomas Cheng (10 service points, five aces, two defensive digs); Eder Gonzalez (5 service points, 3 aces); Million Abay (3 kills, five service points) and Johnathan Vega (6 service points, four aces).

SERVING STATS: HT: 49 serve attempts with 45 made for a 92% average with 15 aces. OGDEN: 29 serve attempts with 22 serves made for a 76% average and 3 ace serves.

HT will play the British School of Chicago on Tuesday after at 5 p.m.

Gsoc at home vs OLT:

HT improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Chicago Prep on Monday at Humboldt Park field with a 6-1 win over Our Lady of Tepeyac. Featured for the victors were Atzihri Guido and Sui Len with 2 goals each and one tally each for Jennifer Rios and Monserrat Estrada. Tiger goalkeeper Sakayah Garity made a save on a penalty kick. Action for the Tigers continue Tuesday at Wells high and the Raiders new field at 4:30 p.m.
