HT Spring Sports summary from Thursday, 04/20/17

RESULTS:
Baseball
Holy Trinity 11, Northtown 5. HT 8-5 overall and 2-0 in the Chicago Prep. HT featured Luis Ruiz who was the winning pitchers; Offensively: Jesus Fernandez and a double and a triple, while Christian Trejo had two hits and Julio Trevino also added two hits. The win was the 46th consecutive conference win.... HT has won 84 of the last 85 Chicago Prep conference league affairs.

Girls Softball
Holy Trinity 22, Catalyst Maria 5 (three inning game). HT is 5-1 overall. An offensive burst in the top of the third inning led by a two-run, RBI double from Viviana Alcala and a bomb off the bat of Janae Landecho -- a 2-run RBI double and another double by CeCe Gardner, provided the punch for the Lady Tigers. Evelyn Padilla had six strike outs for her three innings pitched. HT scored 16 runs in the top of the third. Tonight (04/21/17) a rivalry is renewed as HT takes on Our Lady of Tepeyac @ La Villita Park, 2800 S. Sacramento Ave. at 4:30 pm.
