HT Winter Sports Update:

FINAL DAY OF GIRLS THANKSGIVING TOURNEY -- NOVEMBER 20:
The Lady Tigers were unable to match-up with a talented ITW Speer five in the annual Char Szumilas/HT Lady Tiger tourney final played last Monday, November 20 IN THE JUNGLE!
After one period of play, the Pride of ITW sprinted out to an 18-8 lead, courtesy of two treys by Nyah Daniels and one each by teammates Mia Harris and Christy Santiago.
HT's answer was four points by Kristina Vargas, who ended the game as the Lady Tigers leading scorer with 12.
ITW's Daniels then took matters into her own hands scoring 15 points thru the second and third quarters of play, allowing her to finish with 23 on the day, and propelling the visitors to tourney honors. The final score was ITW Speer 46, Holy Trinity 31.
ITW's Harris finished with six points while HT's Cece Gardner got 5 for the Lady Tigers.

In the third place game, UIC Prep moved past Cristo Rey by a final count of 40 to 25 with Leslie Gumenez topping all scorers in this contest with 14 and teammate Kimberly Padilla adding 10. The Criseras were led by Citalli Martinez with 9 and teammate Yessenia Maldanado who had 6.

UPCOMING: The HT Varsity will play Francis Parker Tuesday, November 28 @ 5 p.m. at home and follow that with a Chicago Prep conference match-up at home versus Cristo Rey on Thursday, November 30. Game times are: Jv at 5:30 p.m. and the Varsity at 7 p.m.

HT JV NOTES: HT Jv defeated Acero 19-13 in a game played at HT on November 18th. Leading the way for the young Lady Tigers was Alyssa Hernandez with 13 points.

HT VARSITY BOYS played @ the Northridge Prep Thanksgiving tourney and went 1-3 in the four-day event.
11/20: Vernon Hills 56, Holy Trinity 31. HT: Dorian Little 13; Tony Wilson with 6.

11/21: Holy Trinity 51, Beacon Academy (Evanston) 42
In the win, HT was led by Kiwane Scott with 29 points and five rebounds and Dorian Little with 14. Andrew Casteneda added 5 rebounds.

11/22: Montini 82, Holy Trinity 41 HT: Dorian Little with 18 and Tony Wilson had 12.

11/24: Northridge Prep 70, Holy Trinity 44. HT featured Tony Wilson with 19 points and Kiwane Scott added 11.
