Italian Eatery Featuring Local, Seasonal Ingredients, to Open Next Week
Italian restaurant Azzurra Enotavola is set to open in Wicker Park next week.

Another Italian restaurant, Azzurra Enotavola, will call Wicker Park home next week, according to Chicago Magazine.
Marty Fosse, owner of Andersonville's Anteprima, Acre and Ombra, is working with Ron DiNella, former Morton’s chief financial officer, to open Azzurra Enotavola at 1467 N. Milwaukee Ave. on October 29, Chicago Magazine reports.
Fosse told Chicago Magazine that it will feature house-made ingredients, and the chef will use local, seasonal ingredients from the Evanston Farmers Market and other Chicago vendors, according to Crain’s “On Dining” blog.

“It's a simple premise, with clean, non-manipulated food,” Fosse told Crain’s. “We do the same thing — we shop the same way — an average housewife would in Italy.”
According to Chicago Eater, menu items include shared starters, polenta terrine, mushroom stuffed faro arancini, carrot caponata, various pastas, black linguine with shrimp and more. Azzurra Enotavola will also begin serving brunch on November 2.
