Largest Vegetarian Chain In Country To Open In West Loop
Veggie Grill will open its second Chicago restaurant in March at Lake and Wells.

CHICAGO, IL — The largest vegetarian restaurant chain in the United States is planning to open a location in March in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. The new location at 204 N. Wells Street will be Veggie Grill's second restaurant—the chain is set to open its first location in Lakeview this Thursday, Feb. 15. For several years, vegetarians and vegans have been posting open pleas on social media for Veggie Grill to come to Chicago.
"...we're so excited to be part of the city that was named the "2017 Restaurant City of the Year" by Bon Appetit," the restaurant chain posted on its website. "So come join our celebration of the veggie, the fruit, the grain, and the nut with dishes like our juicy VG Beyond Burger, vibrant Quinoa Power Salad, or craveable Tempura Green Beans!"
Veggie Grill is set to open its doors in Lakeview this Thursday at 614 W. Diversey Parkway.
