Man Beaten With His Own Crutch In Wicker Park
The attackers also beat a woman who tried to protect the man, police said.

CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was attacked with his own crutch in the Wicker Park neighborhood early Friday morning, police said. The man was walking with a 25-year-old woman in the 2200 block of West Division Street around 2:15 a.m. when they were attacked, police said.
The driver of an SUV claimed the man scraped his vehicle with his crutches, according to police. The driver and two other people then got out of the SUV and attacked the man, police said.
When the man fell to the ground, the woman shielded him to protect him. One of the attackers then grabbed a crutch and beat them both, police said.

The attackers then got back into the SUV and fled the scene.
The woman had multiple bruises on her body and the man had multiple bruises on his back and head, police said.
