Man Turns Himself In After Beating, Robbing Woman In Bucktown
Police said the suspect followed the woman from the CTA Blue Line.

CHICAGO, IL — Police said a man turned himself in at the Area Central police headquarters Wednesday morning after a 23-year-old woman was attacked and robbed. Police have not confirmed whether the man was the attacker. The assault happened in the city's Bucktown neighborhood early Sunday morning.
A suspect followed the woman from the CTA Blue Line stop at North and Damen Avenues at around 3:30 a.m., police said. The man pulled her into a gangway in the 1600 block of North Bell Avenue, and beat, robbed and ordered her to remove her clothing, police said.
Police released a surveillance photo Tuesday evening of the suspect who they believed followed the woman from the Blue Line stop, and he turned himself in about four hours later.
