Police Warn Of Car Thefts On Near West Side

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Area Central detectives.

CHICAGO, IL — Police have issued a community alert for the 12th District. At least seven vehicles were stolen in the Near West between June 2 and June 22, according to the alert. In all cases, the victims parked their vehicles and then noticed they were missing later on.

In most of the incidents, all keys were accounted for, police said.

The vehicles were stolen in the following locations:

  • 2100 block of W. Washington Blvd., Saturday, June 2 at 2 a.m.
  • 2100 block of W. Fulton St., Monday, June 4 from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 100 block of N. Bell Ave., Friday – Monday, June 8-11 from 6:50 a.m. – 8 a.m.
  • 2200 block of W. Washington Blvd., Sunday, June 10 at 12 p.m.
  • 2200 block of W. Warren Blvd., Sunday, June 10 at 4 p.m.
  • 100 block of N. Hoyne Ave., Sunday, June 17 at 1 p.m.
  • 100 block of S. Leavitt St., Friday, June 22 at 5 p.m.
