Police Warn Of Near West Business Burglaries
Police have sent out an alert warning of thefts on West Lake and Madison Streets.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are searching for a suspect after two burglaries in the city's Near West neighborhood. The thefts happened in late February and early March, according to a police business alert. In both burglaries, police said the suspect forced the front door open and stole property inside.
The first burglary happened in the 1000 block of West Lake Street between Feb. 25 at 9:30 p.m. and Feb. 26 at 9:15 a.m., police said.
The second burglary happened March 6 in the 1100 block of West Madison around 5:30 a.m., according to the business alert.

No one was in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
