"The Power of Community" Benefit -- NAH Foundation's Annual Fundraiser Provides Low-Income/Impoverished Children with Free Dentistry Service

Norwegian American Hospital (NAH) President and CEO, Jose R. Sanchez, and the the Board of Directors of the Norwegian American Hospital Foundation are pleased to announce the launch of their inaugural “The Power of Community” Benefit, a charitable fundraiser to be held on June 25, 2015.

The purpose of the event is to create awareness and raise funding for the continued growth and enhancement of their dynamic system of health services, including NAH’s latest development, the Pediatric Dental Van, a revolution in community-based mobile oral care and treatment.

Chicago faces an unmet need for dental care among children living in poverty: annually, Chicago Public Schools identifies nearly 25,000 children in need of urgent care who are not receiving it.

Norwegian’s newest innovative resource is a mobile facility that provides dental care throughout the area and is based on the success of Care-A-Van, their mobile health program. The Pediatric Dental Van will provide restorative dentistry (x-rays, exams, fillings, root canals, etc.) to more than 1,200 low-income children at their schools and community sites each year.

“The Power of Community” will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the renowned Mid-America Club, 200 E. Randolph St., in Chicago. Tickets are $200 and table of 10 are $2,000.
