Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center Family Fun Fest Invites the Community to Get Healthy Minded and Have Fun

Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center (PSMEMC) Family Fun Fest will welcome hundreds of families out for an afternoon of free activities and health screenings on Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., on the lawn of its Presence Nazareth Center, 1127 N. Oakley Blvd., Chicago.

Families can “Ask a Doctor” about medical-related concerns and receive free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, body mass index, emotional health and foot wellness. Activities include face painting, caricature artists, balloon sculptures, carnival rides and games. There will also be snacks available.

“Fun Fest is a great opportunity for community members to become more healthy minded by learning more about their conditions and how to prevent illnesses, while having fun doing it,” said Martin Judd, president & CEO, Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth. “Many chronic diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes can be prevented, so getting regular health screenings are important and we want to do our part in making these screenings more accessible and fun at the same time, ultimately keeping our community healthy.”

This year’s Family Fun Fest is being co-sponsored by Alderman Proco Joe Moreno (1st Ward), Alderman Brian Hopkins (2nd Ward), and Alderman Roberto Maldonado (26th Ward).
