Reward Offered For Tips In Wicker Park Hit-And-Run

The family of a young man who was struck and killed in June is asking for the public's help in finding the driver.

CHICAGO, IL — A reward was offered Friday for information on a June hit-and-run that killed 23-year-old Eric Judge in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. On Saturday, Judge's family and friends distributed flyers along West Division Street in hopes of encouraging the public to come forward with information about his death. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 in cash for any information that will help solve the crime.

At around 1:30 on June 18, Judge was hit by a vehicle on the 2000 block of West Division Street, police said. Judge was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At the time, police described the car as a late-model, white Toyota Camry speeding eastbound. The car didn't stop after the crash and fled the scene, police said. Cook County Crime Stoppers said the vehicle sustained significant damage to the hood, front bumper, front quarter panel, and front passenger-side windshield.

"Eric was regarded as a fun, loving person who relished life and recently moved to Chicago where he planned to one-day marry, buy a home, and make a difference in the world," said the statement.
