Police Standoff at Heart O’ Chicago Motel Ends in Arrest
One person hospitalized during barricade situation in Edgewater on Monday.
Chicago, IL - Chicago police and a SWAT team responded to the iconic Heart O’ Chicago Motel in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood Monday afternoon for a barricade situation.
The situation ended shortly after 2:30 p.m., according to reports.
A witness told NBC that a gunshot was fired. One person was hospitalized during the situation.

Peterson Avenue buses were rerouted during the standoff and some streets nearby the busy Ridge Avenue intersection were closed.
A suspect is in custody, WGN reports.
