Stan’s Donut Run Celebrates a Decade in its Sweet Home, Chicago!

Get ready, Chicago: the summer’s most “hole”-some event is celebrating a major milestone! The iconic Stan’s Donut 10K, 5K and 1K Kids Dash returns to Soldier Field on Saturday, July 18 – serving up its 10th anniversary celebration with a mix of community, fitness, fun and philanthropy. Runners, walkers and all Stan’s Donut lovers are invited to take part in this “dough-lightful” tradition, while supporting Cal’s Angels, an organization that serves children battling cancer through awareness, research and wish-granting.

This beloved sugar smacking event is co-hosted by Stan’s Donuts and Adrenaline Special Events (ASE) – and it continues to rise as one of Chicago’s most anticipated summer experiences for people of all fitness levels. Participants can choose from a 10K starting at 7 a.m., or a 5K that kicks off at 8 a.m. – and the course will wind around Chicago’s beautiful lakefront – including sprinkle-filled fun, donut-themed surprises and truly glaze-worthy photo ops! The 1K Kids Dash will take place at Soldier Field, starting at 9:45 a.m.

After crossing the finish line, participants will be treated to a Stan’s Donut and a cold brew coffee – because all great efforts deserve a sweet reward. The celebration continues with a post-race party at Basecamp near the inflatables that will feature music, bounce houses, family-friendly activities and, of course – even more donuts to keep the good times rolling.

We’ve been fortunate that this event has continued to build a community of fitness-minded individuals who want to give back to those in need,” said ASE Owner Aaron Del Mar. “Cal’s Angels has been our partner since the beginning, and it’s been very rewarding to see the impact we’ve been able to have on this amazing organization.”

All participants will receive event swag, including a donut-themed finisher medal, dri-fit shirt and race bib. Virtual participants can also join the celebration from the location of their choice – and will receive their items by mail.
