'Stop Robbing Us,' Bucktown Boutique Asks Thieves

A high-end store on the North Side has been hit with two recent break-in attempts.

So she has a simple message for the thieves, posted passively on the front of her store

“Please stop robbing us.”

DNAinfo Chicago reports that Apartment Number 9 at 1804 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown was first hit by a “smash and grab” in February and then last week was the victim of an attempted break-in.

"Dear thieves, please stop robbing or attempting to rob us. We are definitely not interested, not to mention it isn't very nice," the owner wrote in a note posted to the store’s front window.

In the February incident, several items of clothing were stolen from the boutique and last week the store’s door was damaged, but the thieves were unable to get inside.
