Wicker Park Celebrates Small Business Saturday With Chillfest
More than 50 musicians are expected to play in stores and venues throughout Wicker Park and Bucktown.
CHICAGO, IL — More than 50 musicians are coming out to support local shops in Bucktown and Wicker Park for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25. This is the fifth year the festival has been held in the neighborhoods. Hosted by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the pop-up event features a wide variety of music, from power pop folk to R&B to chillwave.
"This day of music intends to celebrate our neighborhoods' creative roots while simultaneously driving traffic into our local businesses," the chamber posted on its website.
The chamber said last year's Chillfest event was a "wonderful success." The festival runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with more than 20 participating venues.
