Stranger Punches Woman In Face At Wicker Park Strip Mall
A man reportedly broke a woman's nose outside a 7-Eleven in Wicker Park.
CHICAGO, IL — A 32-year-old woman said a man she had never met before punched her in the face at a strip mall in Wicker Park Tuesday. The incident reportedly happened outside the 7-Eleven at 1658 N. Milwaukee Ave. at 10:30 a.m. The woman suffered a broken nose and a sprained ankle, police said.
The woman said she had just finished mailing Christmas presents at a nearby UPS store in the strip mall, when the man approached her as she tried to walk into the 7-Eleven. She said he looked her "dead in the eye" and punched her in the face.
The man then ran toward the intersection of Damen, Milwaukee and North avenues, police said.

No one was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon, and police were investigating the incident.
